Early Intervention Services

Hudson Milestones Early Intervention Services (EIS) Department provides specialized therapeutic services for children and families throughout Hudson County. The EIS Department strives to educate and empower families and caregivers of children birth to 3 with developmental delays or diagnosed developmental disabilities. Staff provide families with information and support while modeling intervention strategies.

Services are provided in the child's natural environment (home, child care center or other community based locations) by a team of professionals. The team consists of special educators, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, social workers, and paraprofessionals. Each child is assigned a service coordinator through a separate entity called Special Child Health Services, who works with the family and professional team. The collaboration between family, service coordinator and service provider is the key to success for families of the EIS Department.

For more information of EIS or how to refer a child for services please call (201) 339-0962.
